Growing up I was always told to play it safe, go to school, get a degree, find a stable job and buy a house but that life was never meant for me. Nothing I’ve ever done in life has been safe or secure, from throwing an absurd amount of money away on free shows to flying across the world with no plan whatsoever… I’ve always stayed true to one thing and one thing only; following whatever my heart truly desires. My dad risked it all and came to this country with nothing but a dream of one day giving his family a better and brighter future. I feel as if by not taking a chance at my dreams it would be dishonouring the hard work and struggle it took him to put me in this position of opportunity. The freedom to dream is a privilege in itself and the hand I’ve been dealt is simply too good to fold.
